Forney Council Approves Green Ribbon Project Landscape Agreement

On Tuesday night City of Forney Public Works Director, Chris Metz, appealed to the City Council for approval to enter into a Landscape Maintenance Agreement with TxDOT for participation in the Green Ribbon Project. Reportedly as part of an ongoing effort to improve air quality within the State, TxDOT regularly identifies locations within current construction projects that can be used as a Green Ribbon site. The project was initiated to help decrease smog and increase air quality by means of re-forestation.
